Tips and Tricks for Making Easter Pudding Cups
Here are a few tips that may make it easier when you’re assembling your cups.
- Use a piping bag for layering – Spoon the pudding into a piping bag (or a zip-top bag with the corner snipped off) for neater layers and less mess.
- Crush Oreos evenly – A food processor works great, but if using a zip-top bag and rolling pin, press out excess air first to avoid a cookie explosion!
- Customize the colors – Swap pink and green for pastel blues, purples, or yellows to match your Easter decor.
- Make them ahead – Assemble the pudding and Oreo layers up to 2-3 days in advance, but wait to add the toppings until just before serving so they stay fresh.
- Keep the coconut light – Add just a drop or two of food coloring with a tiny splash of water to tint the coconut without making it too soggy.
- Customize the toppings – Not a fan of Peeps? Try chocolate bunnies, jelly beans, or even mini frosted cookies for a different festive touch.
- Serve in clear cups – Using clear cups lets all the colorful layers shine through for the prettiest presentation!

How to Make Peeps Pudding Cups
It’s really easy to whip up this springtime treat.
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
- Cold Milk
- Cool Whip Whipped Topping
- Oreo Cookies
- Shredded Coconut
- Green and Pink Gel Food Coloring
- Peeps Bunny Marshmallows
- Cadbury Chocolate Candy Eggs
- Easter Sprinkles

How to Make It:
Prepare the pudding. First, you’ll whisk together instant pudding mix and milk for two minutes, until mixture begins to thicken.
Chill for five minutes.

Color the pudding. Next you’ll divide pudding between 2 medium mixing bowls.
Add a few drops of green food coloring to one of the bowls, and a few drops of pink food coloring to the other bowl, stirring well to incorporate each.
Divide Cool Whip between the two bowls of pudding mix. Use a spatula to fold the Cool Whip into the pudding. Chill for another 5 minutes.

Layer the pudding and Oreos. Next, you’ll crush the Oreos.
To each of your dessert cups, add a spoonful of Oreo crumb mixture, followed by a layer of pudding mixture.
Continue layering until you reach the top, ending with a cookie crumb layer.

Add the toppings. Last, you’ll sprinkle shredded coconut on top of the Oreo crumble in your cup to give the appearance of grass.
Add Easter sprinkles, followed by a Peeps bunny. Add three Cadbury chocolate eggs on top of the coconut in front of the Easter Peep bunny.
Then serve and enjoy!

Notes and Adaptations:
- We used green and pink food coloring for the pudding mixture, but you can use any color you’d like, or skip adding food coloring.
- If you’re making these ahead of time, you can layer the pudding mixture and cookie crumbs, then refrigerate until ready to serve (up to 2-3 days). I’d suggest waiting to add the green coconut, sprinkles, Peeps and Cadbury eggs until just before serving.
- Feel free to use jelly beans instead of Cadbury eggs, if preferred.
