My love of eggnog began as a child, when we would visit my grandparents for Christmas.
Without fail, they had a quart of eggnog in their refrigerator, even though only my grandpa and myself would drink it.
It was our special treat, and I looked forward to it every year!
These days, I still enjoy eggnog, though my horizons have broadened and I’ve learned just how versatile it is around the holidays.
I now include eggnog in plenty of treats, including my eggnog pound cake, eggnog custard pie, eggnog bundt cake, eggnog blondies, and even eggnog french toast.
Not only that, but I love to add a splash of eggnog to my coffee instead of regular cream, which instantly gives richness and a hint of spice.
And since I purchased a Ninja Creami ice cream machine a few months ago, I thought I’d try my hand at an easy Ninja Creami eggnog ice cream for the holidays!
The result was a rich and creamy ice cream that will immediately bring back fond memories of Christmas past!
It’s one of the best Ninja Creami recipes!

Eggnog Ice Cream in the Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker
The Ninja Creami ice cream machine is a little bit different than most ice cream makers you might be accustomed to.
If you’re not familiar with this handy appliance, you essentially create an ice cream base, which you freeze in a special Ninja Creami pint for about 24 hours.
Once it’s frozen solid, you insert the pint into your machine, which acts similarly to blenders or food processors.
Ninja’s Creamify technology uses a spinning “blade” on a motor base similar to that of a food processor (though the blade isn’t even sharp!) to sort of “shave” the frozen concoction into a deliciously creamy treat.

The great thing about this machine is that you can make small batches (which makes it easy to create lots of different flavors), and you can easily customize ingredients based on dietary needs or preferences.
It’s perfect for creating an assortment of flavors for holiday gatherings, or for making healthy Ninja Creami recipes to meet special diets of your guests.
For this eggnog ice cream, you only need one ingredient–eggnog! Because eggnog is essentially a custard, it transforms into a delicious gelato type ice cream.
Of course, you’re welcome to add some additional spices if you’d like to increase the cinnamon or nutmeg flavors, but I don’t generally find that necessary.

How to Make Ninja Creami Eggnog Ice Cream
It’s super easy to make this delicious creamy treat!
Ingredients You’ll Need:
- Eggnog
- Optional: Additional cinnamon or nutmeg, if desired
How to Make It:
Prepare the base. Pour eggnog directly into your Ninja Creami pint, being careful not to exceed the maximum fill line on the pint.
If desired, you can stir in a bit of ground cinnamon or ground nutmeg.

Freeze. Close the lid on the pint and transfer it to a level surface in your freezer for 24 hours.
Spin. After 24 hours, remove the pint from the freezer and take off the lid. Place the pint in the outer bowl and secure the lid.

Lock the outer bowl apparatus into the Ninja Creami machine and press the Gelato button. It will take a couple of minutes for the cycle to complete.

Re-spin if needed. If the mixture is a little crumbly after the first round of spinning, you can use the Re-spin button to cycle it again, which will make it more creamy.

Enjoy your delicious ice cream with a light sprinkle of ground cinnamon or nutmeg on top. I think it would also be delicious to add a scoop of the ice cream to coffee to make an affogato!

Or, serve it atop a slice of pecan pie for a simply delightful dessert a la mode or alongside some Christmas cookies!
